Chalet Emerald offers a standard of accommodation above even that of most North American properties. It is truly a gem – as the name of this chalet suggests. It is certainly worth the journey to and from the slopes to stay here. This spectacular chalet nestles within the pine trees in the serene and tranquil retreat of the Emerald Estates. The chalet boasts unsurpassed panoramic views of the frozen Green Lake, the Armchair Glacier as well as Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. It is not an exaggeration to describe the living /dining area as magnificent. Spacious with wall-to-wall windows overlooking the lake, it has a large open fire surrounded by sofas, natural wood floor and marble breakfast var. Built as a family home (rather than a hotel), the bedrooms slightly vary in standard and aspect and this is reflected in the room supplements and discounts. There is not doubt however that the master bedroom is exceptional. Large and spacious, it boasts a fireplace shared by both the bedroom and bathroom (particularly the Jacuzzi bath!). The almost floor to ceiling panoramic windows share the same view as the luxurious living area. Access to the skiing is either by using the shuttle bus* which stops less that 150 metres away and takes approximately 20 minutes at peak times.

*Shuttle runs every 15 minutes at peak time, every half hour at other times (journey takes slightly longer outside of peak time) and costs approx. 75p each way. The service operates from 5:30am – 2.30am).
