The resort of Whistler-Blackcomb has over 8000 acres of terrain, 5280 vertical feet and over 180 miles of pisted runs to explore. The resort has recently invested millions of dollars on mountain improvements and introduced 1100 acres of new terrain on Whistler Mountain. The Nintendo Superpipe means that Whistler-Blackcomb is also a favourite for boarders. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola (opened in December 2008) is a 3km (almost 1.9 miles!), 11-minute journey from the top of Whistler to the top of Blackcomb and opens up infinite possibilities for exploring the mountains!
